Welcome to the Bedi household, where the wedding has just finished but the family rollercoaster shows no signs of stopping!

The birthcharts are a perfect match - Simmy, the imported Indian bride, will bring good fortune (and grandsons) to her in-laws. But Raj, the groom, has run away before the honeymoon could begin! Until he returns, Simmy is locked in the house by her community obsessed mother-in-law, and spends her time keeping diabetic granddad away from the jalebis. The net curtains start to twitch as the outrageuos aunties focus their binoculars on the Bedi family. Why are the new couple not coming for traditional Indian dinner?
