‘No one seriously interested in theatre can afford not to see this’
Financial Times
Duet For One is a poignantly funny and deeply moving play about a world-famous violinist condemned to the loss of her creativity and the psychiatrist determined that she should find a new purpose to her life. This award-winning play by Tom Kempinski is loosely based on the life of cellist Jacqueline du Pré. This marvellous production tours to Windsor following its run at the Almeida Theatre and prior to the West End. It stars two of Britain’s finest actors.
Juliet Stevenson is one of the most respected actors of her generation. She began her career with the Royal Shakespeare Company. Her film career took off with her award-winning performance in
Truly, Madly, Deeply. She received a BAFTA nomination for
The Politician’s Wife and recently appeared on television in ITV’s
Place Of Execution.
Henry Goodman’s extensive career includes several seasons with the RSC and National Theatre, including an award-winning performance as Shylock in
The Merchant Of Venice directed by Trevor Nunn. He recently played the lead role of Tevye in the hugely successful West End run of
Fiddler On The Roof and Eddie in
Feelgood, also in the West End.
There is a
VOCALEYES audio described performance on Thursday 26th March at 2.30pm.
