MYSTERY ON AIR - Theatre Royal Windsor

What's On

THE MOST DANGEROUS GAME. A big-game hunter falls overboard and swims to what seems to be an isolated island where he becomes the hunted.

THE WHITE ROSE MURDERS. A bizarre series of murders inside the court of Henry VIII is the centre of this dramatic, colourful medieval mystery.

HOUSE BY THE RIVER. Who killed Emily Gaunt? A British murder mystery involving a poet, his brother, and the the river!

Building on the phenomenal decade-long success with The Agatha Christie Theatre Company, which sold over two million tickets and continually played to packed houses around the UK, comes a special new chapter, produced and presented exclusively for the audiences of Theatre Royal Windsor. Following this year’s acclaimed production of King Kong author Edgar Wallace’s The Case of the Frightened Lady, a trio of captivating radio thrillers make up an evening of mystery and suspense, read in an authentic studio setting with live sound effects, in the style of original BBC broadcasts.

Cast includes: Jenny Seagrove (A Local Hero, A Woman of Substance, Appointment with Death, The Guardian), Roy Marsden (Vanity Fair, Foyles War, Television dramatisations of P. D. James's detective novels), Sue Holderness (Only Fools and Horses, The Green, Green Grass, Heartbeat), Daniel Casey (Midsomer Murders, Steel River Blues, Coronation Street), Elizabeth Payne (Midsomer Murders, 50 Ways to Kill Your Lover, Donovan), and Matthew Cottle (Chaplin, A Christmas Carol 1995, The Windsors, Citizen Khan)

So sit back and enjoy the thrilling nostalgia of 1930’s BBC radio drama, live on stage.
